WELCOME TO GRESIL RESIDENCE

Le Gresil (from the French word for “hail”) is a family-owned apartment hotel built in stone and wood that recalls the ambience of a classic mountain chalet.

CARE FOR DETAILS

It has seven small but delightful bedrooms (possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds), each with an independent entrance, scenic view and a kitchen. The limited amount of rooms allows us to truly spoil our guests, pampering you so that you feel at home even whilst on holiday.

We hope your stay with us will be enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing.

We have taken great care to ensure that every aspect of our hotel – the scent of antique wood, our sculptures and paintings, the locally-crafted furnishings and knick-knacks, the “Angels des Montagnes” blankets and pillows – gives your holiday the flavour of a typical alpine ambience.

OUR ROOMS

A stay at our facility will treat you to top comfort and relaxation.

Covid-19 measurements: All the rooms in our facility have direct access from the outside. A well-equipped kitchen inside the rooms offers guests the possibility to cook or eat takeout meals prepared by local restaurants.

The garden measures an area of 300 square metres (3339 square ft.), which ensures the required social distancing between guests lying on sunbeds / deck chairs.There are no common areas to pass through. Guests can reach their rooms from the garage and vice versa through an independent outdoor walkway. All staircases are outdoors.

BLEU ET BLANC COMME UNE “BOULE DE NEIGE”

Possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Inspired by one of the most important seasons on the mountain. Thanks to the icy colours so typical of winter and the snowy white shades evoked by our “Angels des Montagnes” blankets and pillows, for a moment you will feel like a child again: snowmen and snowballs!

ROUGE COMME UN “COIN DE FEU”

Attic bedroom with possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Dedicated to guests who wish to enjoy a romantic holiday with their special someone. Magical colours, perfumes, atmosphere.

ROSE COMME LE “GLACIER”

Romantic attic bedroom with possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Inspired by the glacier and the rosy hue adopted by the majestic Monte Rosa Massif as the sun sets on the horizon – a sight that cannot be missed, especially from this room.

JAUNE COMME UN “RAYON DE SOLEIL”

Attic bedroom with possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Inspired by the sun, which gives us light and heat. This room showcases one of the typical and enviable features of our location: exposure to the Antagnod sunlight.

VERT COMME LES “CHAMPS FLEURIS”

Room for three people with loft; possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds in the main room and double bed in the loft area, which includes a small private balcony. Inspired by the countless fields surrounding Le Gresil, it contains the colours of our landscape in bloom: yellow, white, pink, red, blue and… green!

OR COMME UNE “ÉPI DE BLÉ”

Room for three people with loft; possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds in the main room and double bed in the loft, which includes a small private balcony. Inspired by the typical architectural structures of the Val d’Ayas, called rascards; the upper part of these buildings, built entirely out of wood and used as barns, were used to store and thresh sheaves of grain. The room’s several larch beams revisit those ancient buildings.

BEIGE COMME LES “FEUILLES D’AUTOMNE”

Possibility of a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Inspired by the soft shades of autumn, because discovering the many wonders of the mountains is exciting even in this season.
