Old typical Engadine mill situated in a fairy tale atmosphere at the limit of the forest that goes to Val D'Uina, rich of wonderful landscapes and breathtaking views, set among the rocks, the woods and the stream that flows impetuous. The house is at the end of a small but quaint old village of Engadine with its painted houses, old barns and ancient roads. Retains all the charm of the cosy and warm Engadine houses fragrant of cedar. Even the antique furniture typical of the region adds to the atmosphere the taste of the past.
Equipped with all the comforts (there is also WIFI Internet), restored during the years and completely renewed in 2013, the house can accommodate up to 12 people, having 5 comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with bath and shower, the other one with shower. It is a house with 2 floors with a large garden all around, inside of which flows a small stream that creates a nice atmosphere of intimacy and direct contact with nature. Totally silent and reserved, but 10 minutes from all amenities, including an important ski resort (Motta Naluns in Scuol), a Wellness Center (Bogn Engiadina) with SPA, saunas, pools and therms, one of the largest in Europe.
In the village of Suren there is a good and well-known restaurant where you can taste local specialties, including game (wild animals such as deer and roe deer). In Suren there are a lot of sport activities: horseback riding, archery, rock climbing, tree climbing (Waldseilpark), walks and hiking in the woods, collecting mushrooms, rafting and canoeing in the Inn, fishing, mountain biking, bowling green, children's playground, swimming. In winter, cross country skiing, ice skating path in the wood, ice wall climbing, ice curling, horse back riding.
Not far (6 km) there is the beautiful Habsburg castle of Tarasp to visit. Nearby (Tarasp Vulpera) you can find other outdoor swimmingpools, 2 golf courses (9 and 18 holes), tennis courts...
At about 35 km from Suren you will find the free zone of Samnaun (between Switzerland and Austria) where you can buy at a great price (Tax Free) watches, parfumes, clothes, technology, cigarettes, petrol and more. There is also an extraordinary ski resort (Silvretta Arena) that will take you up to Ischl in Austria. There are 240 km of ski slopes and 45 ski lifts.
Suren is located between 4 major ski resorts (Scuol Motta Nalun at 5 km, Samnaun Ischl-Silvretta Arena at 35 km, Nauders in Austria at 15 km and St. Moritz at 60 km).
Suren is also just 60 km from St. Moritz, where you can spend a day of skiing or shopping, going back in the day. Suren has a bus stop at 50 meters from the house. From there you are directly connected with the ski resort in Scuol (Motta Naluns) and the stain station of Scuol.
Excursion possibilities
The National Park with its incontaminated nature and wild animals to see; the free zone of Samnaun where to buy tax free goods; Davos and St. Moritz are at 1 hour drive; the beautiful habsburg castle of Tarasp; the therms and swimming pool of Scuol and Vulpera, the 9 holes Golf of Vulpera. It is also interesting to visit Innsbruck (1.5 hours by car) with its palace of Sissi and the famous Golden Dach, and St. Moritz with its lakes frequented by lovers of sailing and windsurfing.
Location description
The Engadin village of Sent is located on a raised and sunny terrace above the Inn at 1,440 meters above sea level. The region is full of sunshine between the peaks of the Silvretta and the "Engadine Dolomites." The country has its own cultural values and incontaminated nature reserves - the pride of the locals and guests. The architecture of Sent with its old houses painted and decorated with typical graffiti, the picturesque village church and its tower feature make the country so special.
The western entrance of the town is dominated by two large plots, the "Parkin Not dal Mot", designed by renowned contemporary artist Sent, Not Vital. An ideal starting point for Val Sinestra, Val d'Uina, Val Laver etc.. In winter the is the beautiful "Dream Track" for skiiers of the winter sports resort Scuol-Motta Naluns. You can go sledding, tobogganing, ice skating and cross country skiing. Suren instead is at the entrance of the valley of Uina, at the point where the tributary Uina enters the Inn and right at the entrance of the sauvage Uina Valley, the smugglers' route carved into the rocks that reachs the Pass Slingia and then goes down to Italy.

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.
Sehr schönes, liebevoll eingerichete Haus. Wir waren 11 Personen, davon 4 Kinder, wir hatten alle Platz, das warme Wasser hat immer gereicht, um den Esstisch herum gind es auch gut. Unzählige Wandermöglichkeiten. Zauberhaft. Super.
Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Kinder liebten die Freiheiten rund ums Haus, insbesondere die Feuerstelle, die in der Nähe des Hauses direkt am Bach liegt. Da wir im Herbst dort waren, hatten wir die Feuerstelle für uns alleine. Das Haus ist mit viel Sorgfalt und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, fast ein kleines Museum. Für unseren Geschmack war das eher zuviel, da überall Deko stand und wir mit Kindern dort waren. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben das Haus in sehr sauberem Zustand übernehmen können und die Person, die uns den Schlüssel übergeben hat, war sehr freundlich.
